Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster recently sought treatment from a specialist to address his promblematic right knee.
The 24 year old keeper, on loan the last two seasons to Watford, began experiencing the pain in his knee in the latter stages of last season’s campaign. The problem was thought to be minor, but resurfaced recently forcing him out of playing for the England “B” squad match versus Albania.
A club spokesman confirmed: “Ben has seen a specialist and they are investigating an existing knee problem.”
Ben Foster is expected to make his debut with Sir Alex Ferguson’s first team in the coming season. If he undergoes surgery on the knee, he will reportedly miss the first few weeks of the campaign.
