I do not know if United is carrying a curse on their players knee’s because they have just lost Scholes until the end of January 2008, can you believe their luck. United players have suffered a lot of knee injuries in this season. Scholes will be out due to ligament injuries to his knee.

United have issued a statement over the fitness of Rio Ferdinand after rumours earlier in the week that he may miss the game due to a groin strain.
The statement says: “Reports in Tuesday’s press claimed the Reds defender has an old injury that he aggravated and would miss the key Premier League clash.
