Who was the better player? Ronaldo or Messi? That was the question every football aficionado was asking. Wayne Rooney, Patrice Evra, and Nemanja Vidic should be fit for Saturdays match at Old Trafford against 10th place West Ham.
Patrice should definitely be ready, “Patrice got a real bang on the head…” “…but I’m sure he’ll be all right for Saturday.” Sir Alex told MUTV
Sir Alex was also confident about Rooney “Wayne has got a big chance. He’ll be all right for Saturday.”
But Sir Alex was a bit more skeptical when asked about the Serbian defender “Vidic may be okay too, but that’s in the doctor’s hands.”

United started with a pretty solid line up Evra, Brown, Ferdinand, and Hargreaves in the back. Park, Carrick, Scholes, Nani in the middle and Ronaldo, Tevez up top.

Manchester United will host Barcelona for the return leg of the Champions League Semi-Final on Tuesday April 29th Both teams still remain undefeated in Champions League competition, but both teams suffered a loss this weekend. Manchester United lost to Chelsea and Barcelona lost to Deportivo de la Coruna.

Match Review

United started without Vidic. Therefore Evra, Brown, Ferdinand and Hargreaves played in the back. United should walk away with a win from the Nou Camp. Barcelona FC is in turmoil. Aside from the injuries and suspensions, many of the clubs players are not happy for a number of reasons. Henry has stated he is being played out of position, and is already looking for his next club. Samuel Eto’o told radio station RAC1 “If next year we continue like that, I will leave” . Lionel Messi is the first player mentioned because he is the most dangerous. After being sidelined for five weeks due to a thigh injury, Messi is expected to play Wednesday. Messi played the final 45 minutes in Barcelona’s draw to Espanyol this weekend but Messi’s impact was undeniable. Barcelona had 9 scoring opportunities in the 2nd half when Messi was playing and only 4 in the 1st half when Messi was not present.The 20 year old has scored 6 goals in 7 games for the Catalan giants in Champions League competition. He is lightning fast and could do some serious damage if he’s not contained.
