Michael Carrick is the latest Manchester United player to sign a long term deal. The new deal will keep Carrick at Old Trafford until 2012. Carrick joined United in the summer of 2006 from Tottenham, for a fee of £18.6million. Since then, Carrick has been a regular in Sir Alex’s starting eleven and a crucial player in Uniteds back to back Premier League titles.
