Dutch playmaker, Rafael van der Vaart, has joined Real Madrid from Hamburg.
What does this have to do with Ronaldo, you ask. Well, just hours after Van der Vaart’s move was sealed, Ferguson said: “The matter is closed now.”
“He [Ronaldo] is a Manchester United player, it’s finished. He is going to play here, believe me.”
Even Madrid boss Ramon Calderon said “He [Van der Vaart] is the first and almost certainly the last signing we will make this season.”
It will be interesting to see how United supporters receive Cristiano Ronaldo this upcoming season.
And now that this is all over maybe Sir Alex will buy somebody! Huntelaar is still my number one choice.
