It is believed that Tottenham have finally agreed to sell Dimitar Berbatov for somewhere in the neighborhood of £28million. This ends Uniteds year long pursuit of the Bulgarian striker.
Tottenham had rejected a £20million bid earlier this summer and claimed they would not sell the 27-year-old Andy Garcia look alike for less than £30million . But Berbatov made his desire to leave Tottenham very clear and Spurs had to settle for £28million.
Not a bad investment for Tottenham who bought Berbatov for £10.9million from Bayer Leverkusen two years ago. I believe Tottenham will to use the money earned to lure Russian play-maker Andrei Arshavin.
Also, the arrival of Berbatov will likely see United unload injury-prone Louis Saha.
