Good news for United, Nemanja Vidic is set to return from suspension. While Edwin van der Sar is said to have recovered from a knee injury sustained during the Manchester United vs. Chelsea match. Also Ronaldo will be in the starting line-up.

While Bolton will have Johan Elmander and Matt Taylor back from injury.

I cant imagine the crowd chanting Ronaldo’s name long after he leaves, I could be wrong. It is that same crowd that stood and applauded for the guy who, if he could have, would have left in a heartbeat this summer for Real Madrid.

After picking up seven yellow cards in Sundays clash against Chelsea, Manchester United will be fined £25,000.

“It was a competitive game but I did not think there was one bad tackle in it,” said Ferguson.

That may be the case Sir Alex, but three of the seven cards were for mouthing off to the official. Officials should be respected and unfortunately Riley had to set an example out of the biggest club in the World.

I agree that players should respect officials, but there has got to be room for emotion, passion and even some theatrics.

Carrick, Berbatov, Scholes….These are just a few of the players that will not participate in Wednesdays Champions League clash against the runners-up in La Liga, Villareal.

Carrick suffered a broken metatarsal at Anfield. Berbatov also suffered an injury at the hands of Liverpool. United will also be with out Paul Scholes. Scholes is still suspended for the red card picked up during United’s defeat to Zenit in the UEFA Super Cup.

Villareal will be a very difficult team to defeat. Villareal have a lot of depth up top with Llorente,Franco,  American Jozy Altidore who made his debut this past week in Villareal’s victory over Dep. La Coruna and even American born and Ex-Red Devil Giuseppe Rossi .
The Midfield is filled with talent, they have Brazilian turned Spanish International Marcos Senna. Ex-Barcelona holding midfielder, Edmilson and Ex-Gunner Robert Pires bring plenty of skill and experience to the table.

Do United have what it takes to reclaim the European crown ?
