United went into this match with 11 consecutive clean sheets, a new Premier League record, and had their sights set on extending that record. Manchester United have broken the record set by Chelsea for consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League, 11 matches without conceding a single goal, 762 minutes to be exact. Not surprisingly, people have begun to play down United’s great accomplishment. Ex-United defender Paul Parker is one of them, claiming “Manchester United’s record 11th consecutive clean sheet [...]

Should United wear the Club World Champion Badge of Honor?
Written by jquijano

Should United wear the Club World Champion Badge of Honor? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, it is the badge AC Milan wore after winning the club world cup in 2007 (Coincidentally FIFA didn’t introduce the badge until a European club won the trophy.) Bookmark This Post

United on track for 5 trophies!
Written by jquijano
January 26th, 2009
Sir Alex Ferguson saw his dreams of landing five trophies kept alive, but admitted that the 2-1 FA Cup fourth round win over Tottenham came at a cost. Dimitar Berbatov’s first-half strike against his former club settled the tie in United’s favour at Old Trafford after a Tom Huddlestone own goal had cancelled out Roman Pavlyuchenko’s [...]

United’s shirt should say “US Tax Payers” not “AIG”
Written by Tony
January 21st, 2009
Shouldn’t United’s shirt really say “US Tax Payers” not “AIG” AIG are 18 months from the end of a £14 million-a-year contract with the Premier League champions, and their exit comes as little surprise. The company has encountered financial trouble and last year received a $150bn (£109m) bail-out from the US government. Bookmark This Post

United on top of the table!
Written by Tony
January 17th, 2009
In the final minute of normal time, Carlos Tevez used his strength to turn and bundle his way through Chris Basham and Sebastien Puygrenier and cross the ball to an unmarked Berbatov whose diving header beat Jussi Jaaskelainen to see them go home with a win despite an unconvincing performance. Hull sign Manucho on loan
Written by Tony
January 16th, 2009
Hull have secured a deal to sign Manucho on loan for the remainder of the season. The 25-year-old Angolan has only made on appearance for United in the Barclays Premier League. Personally I think United should cut him loose. Manucho is 25-years-old and has not shown he has what it takes. Danny Welbeck is only 18-years-old and [...]
