After bursting on to the scene last weekend by scoring the late winner against Aston Villa, Macheda was given another chance on Saturday. Kiko didn’t disappoint, he netted another game winner against Sunderland to keep United on top of the table.

But is Macheda the real deal?

He turns 18 in August, and it will be interesting to see if United offer him a five year deal. His agent, Giovanni Bia, certainly thinks so, this is what he had to say to Italy’s Sky TV

“When he’s 18 we’ll talk again. I think Manchester will ask us to sign a five-year deal and I think that would be logical because it makes no sense to lose a lad at 21,”

“We haven’t talked about figures.”
