Do clubs intentionally put out false or misleading reports about a players availability? Maybe to break the composure or concentration of the opposing team?
Both Gerrard and Torres were set to miss Saturdays clash against Manchester United. But according to the clubs official website both players completed a full training session and have been included in the squad that will take on Manchester United at Anfield.
This is after Gerrard said “The United game is too soon. I’ve got a decent chance for the Champions League game in Marseille on September 16, but I’ve told the manager I’d like to do a certain amount of training before I play.”

Looks like Carrick and Hargreaves will both be back for Saturday’s match as well. Its gonna be a great game. Too bad it doesn’t air in the U.S. until 4:30pm PST
The game is being broadcast live (4:30 a.m. Pacific) on Setanta Sports.
Sweet! You’re right! Thanks.
The wife always cringes when she knows it’s a 4:30 a.m. game… “you’re not going to watch it are you??” Aside from being grouchy and waking everyone up early, I don’t see why she minds.
