Manchester United vs. Middlesbrough
United had to do without Vidic, who was out with a knee injury.
Scholes and Carrick take the center mid positions. Ronaldo and Giggs take the wings. This was Giggs 750th appearance for United, just 9 shy of Sir Bobby Charltons record.

Having Van der Sar in the line up makes us United supporters feel so comfortable. Not to take anything away from the other United keeper but Van der Sar has so much experience.

Today on grand slam Sunday, United hosted Liverpool and over at The Bridge, Chelsea hosted the Gunners.

This should have been an easy game for United, or at least that’s what Sir Alex thought. He had no choice with Foster, but started O’Shea, Park, and Giggs. And had Ronaldo playing up top with Rooney. It looked like Sir Alex wanted Ronaldo to reach 22, 23 and maybe even 24 goals [...] |
