van der sar
brown vidic ferdinard evra
scholes hargreaves carrick
ronaldo rooney tevez
bench…park,nani,anderson,giggs,kushaksilvestre,oshea
thanx for all the latest news you publish for us from my favourite club manutd.
i think my starting XI is like this;
van der sar, Brown, Evra, vidic, ferdinand, carrick, scholes, ronaldo, nani, park, rooney, tezev
Hmm…Only one problem with ur starting XI, martin. You’ve got a starting XII.
Starting XI:
Van der Sar, Hargreaves, Vidic, Rio, Evra, Ronaldo, Scholes, Anderson, Giggs, Rooney, Tevez.
Bench: Kuz., Park, Nani, Pique, Neville, Fletcher, Welbeck.
Anderson starts for Carrick because he’s played solid big games and can PLAY in them. Fergie said it himself, its that Brazilian thing. Neville on the bench for a CL Final runout since he HAS to be on his way out. Welbeck….well, if the score gets up there, give him a runabout.
My starting 11 has a caveat… first, the names:
Van der Sar
Brown, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra
Ronaldo, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs (OMG, did I really just say that?)
Rooney, Tevez
Bench: Kuszczak, Anderson, Nani, Hargreaves, O’Shea, Saha (is he even fit?), Neville
Anyone that knows me, knows I’m not a big fan of Giggs anymore. He’s still fast enough, but he’s lost that hunger and that hurts his game. That last game against Wigan, when it counted, he showed he could still make the right run, and score. With this game being even bigger than Wigan, let’s hope Giggsy has another 3 or 4 of those stellar runs.
My caveat to this line-up is that if it doesn’t seem to be working – i.e. no pressure being put on Chelsea’s defense and/or Manu is behind … switch to Nani EARLY.
Followed closely by a switch of Anderson for Scholes.
The defense will have to step up and contain Chelsea’s speed and power – please do not let Drogba settle around the 18 with his back to goal. That strikes fear into my heart!
The key for me is getting out quick on the counter-attacks (you know Chelsea will be attacking). I think we can beat them, but we have to do it while they are pressed forward. I don’t think a methodical build-up will get us a goal…
Starting 11:
Van Der Sar
Neville, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra
Ronaldo, Hargreaves, Scholes, Giggs
Rooney, Tevez

Kuskuzak, Brown, O’Shea, Nani, Park, Carrick, Anderson
