Is the Premier League the best league in the world?
With 4 English teams in the quarter finals of The UEFA Champions League it certainly seems like it.
But lets take a look at the “Big 4” Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal.
First Manchester United. United started their last game vs Portsmouth, with 6 foreign players. While In both of Chelsea’s last games Avram Grant started 7 foreigners. 7 against Derby and 7 against Barnsley. Next, Liverpool had only 2 English players start in their victory against Italian giants Inter Milan. I saved the worst for last, the FA should be embarrassed for allowing Arsenal to compete in English football. In their last match vs. Wigan, Arsenal started 11 foreigners. As a matter of fact, there are only 2 English players on Arsenals current roster of 25, Theo Walcott and Justin Hoyte.
