Sir Alex Ferguson has expressed a real desire to sign the Argentinian international Tevez to a three year contract. Tevez is currently on-loan to Manchester United due to a deal between United and West Ham brokered by Tevez’s agent, Kia Jooprabchian.
United’s team manager, Sir Alex and their legal eagles have been in contact with Joorabchian to secure him more permanently as a player as soon as his loan agreement expires.
In something pf a weird contractual agreement it is Joorabchian who owns Tevez and it could see United paying far less than his market value due to this fact. Ideally it would be Joorabchian that would want a big fat offer for “his” player. Tevez is on loan from West Ham until the end of next year.
Sir Alex is said to be in a hurry and have even mentioned an earlier date than the end of his loan agreement. m What’s up with that?
Ferguson said: “There is no question about his long-term future here. David Gill, (United chief executive) has spoken to his agent and told him we are very happy with him. The fee is in place. I won’t tell you what it is but it is still cheap. I want to make this happen. He has impressed everyone with his appetite for the game.”
Tevez has scored four times this season as well as in the Champions League. It is his skill to read play and string together some great passes that has impressed everyone. He has gelled very well with the rest of the strikers and can play comfortably from the center of the field to either side on the wing.
Having made 17 appearances for United already this season Ferguson says he expects Tevez to become an important player for the current English champions.
Ferguson said: “He’ll get me 15 goals this season and what’s more they will be important goals.”
Tevez has indeed impressed me with his abilities, the only negative comment I have is that he is not very quick, but other than that he is a good all rounder.
Quick enough, as he has proven already a few times.
The knock I have on Tevez is not his speed, he has proven he is mobile enough to be effective, but rather his ability to dribble. He and Rooney both suffer from the same “ailment” in this department. Now, I don’t expect 250 step-overs and jukes each touch of the ball, but look back at some of the games — you know you have them on Tivo like me.
He gives the ball away inside the 18 way too cheaply. You can talk about the quality of defenses etc., but just watch… they dribble right AT the defense and surprise, surprise, they lose the ball.
Tevez is a very skilled player he’s quick has a amazing team work and every time he steps onto the pitch he pops a goal in the argintinian fans are speeking the truth when they say he’s the next maradona
tevez is an amazing player and fergie should sign him on a long term contract
