No injury setback for Hargreaves |

Manchester United have denied reports that Owen Hargreaves’s absence from a reserves match against Manchester City was due to an injury.
The club website stated the following; “This definitely isn’t another injury setback,”
“It just doesn’t fit in with Owen’s training schedule.”

United started with a fairly strong line-up, the strongest they could anyway. With Carrick sent off in the first leg, Sir Alex went with Park in the middle, while Nani and Valencia would use their pace down the flanks.

Manchester United have signed 21-year-old striker Mame Biram Diouf from Norwegian club Molde.
The player, originally from Senegal, will join the English champions in January, pending a medical, and remain in Norway until then.

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan will meet Manchester United and Real Madrid representatives in the next three or four days to discuss the potential transfer of Ecuador winger Antonio Valencia.
United have made a £16 million bid for Latics star Valencia, while Real are also interested, as are a third, unnamed, club.
